We’ve got some amazing highlights in store for you, including:
Darren Foreman, a former Royal Marine, made the decision to become a full time Safe engineer in 2011. Since 2014 Darren has been the owner of Safe Ventures with a commitment to providing high quality tools to the industry. Darren is excited to share his knowledge with you during this training session. Get ready to dive deep into the world of Safe Ventures Decoders, including the 71111, Variator, Fichet, and RKL10. In this seminar, we will be exploring the intricacies of advanced blank preparation techniques, specifically utilizing the cutting-edge easy entry profile cutter. We will also be discussing specialised tools that are typically reserved for government agencies. Additionally, Oliver will be showcasing a set of tools that were once utilized by the KGB and delving into their functionality.
In this practical training session, you’ll gain valuable skills in this non-destructive entry method. Due to the hands on nature, we’ve kept this class sizes small, with a maximum of six participants, to ensure that you receive personalised attention and a tailored learning experience.
The course is aimed at, but not restricted to, those who are competent at cutting keys to the Union (Chubb) detainer range lock employing handed down traditional methods to achieve a key to fit the lock without resorting to making the lock accept the key! A Milners ‘212’ safe lock will be the chosen lock for the class. We will discuss the locks’ features, the tools required, the techniques used and will demonstrate the practical use of the tools and techniques.
The Stasi talk is centred around the book “Stasi Secret Service Tools”, which is a comprehensive collection of photographs showcasing the tools used by the East German secret service.
The book also includes an interview with a former operative employee, providing valuable insights into the operations and inner workings of the service. Although the book is only available in German, the talks will be conducted in English, making it accessible to a wider audience.
From where to source product, to why it’s important to have the lock wherever possible when making a key, if you’re thinking about getting into Heritage Lock work then this seminar is a must. A “warts ‘n all” look at the satisfaction and pit falls that this kind of work can provide to locksmiths.
The world of Forensic Locksmithing has piqued the interest of many in recent years, thanks to its vital role in cracking criminal cases. Lewis Beadle, an accomplished Expert Witness in this field, will share his experiences with the National Crime Agency (NCA).
Lewis was commissioned by the NCA in 2016, and his expertise proved invaluable in solving several cases. His impressive track record led to him being invited to speak at the NCA “Experts Day” in 2018, and in 2019, he delivered a presentation to a specialist section of the Metropolitan Police.
Joining Lewis will be Jim Shingler, the head of the NCA at Wyboston, who will also be sharing his thoughts on the benefits of having an Expert Witness in the fight against crime.
Souber® Tools was first established in 1990 by the founder, and Managing Director, Paul Souber. Paul had worked for Chubb Locks for 13 years and he brought his extensive engineering skill to this new venture which he devoted entirely to the needs of professional locksmiths.
