Experienced locksmiths wishing to tackle the ever growing market of high security cylinders, standard fitting to new builds and new door installations by manufacturers.
Requirements to Attend
MEMBERS – must have been a member for 6 months+
NON-MEMBERS – taken foundation module or sponsored by 2 QML members or directors of MLA Approved Companies

After The Course
Improving picking ability and how to overcome the security measures built into a high security cylinder.
Attendees will also gain the confidence and knowledge should they have to drill the lock in failure scenarios or cylinders that have been attacked prior.
Upon completion, attendees should feel confident to take on work they would possibly pass on or walk away from previously for not wanting to cause unnecessary damage to doors and frames

- Single pin dimple picks
- Dedicated 2in1 type picks
- Drill
Tools Provided & Utilised For Demo Purposes
- Hardplate drill bits 4mm-6mm
- Die grinder and burrs
The attendees may bring further materials at their own discretion i.e Ultion, ABS, Garrison,
Mul-t-lock, Yale superior/platinum etc 1*& 3* cylinders to tackle via:
- Picking
- Bypassing
- Drilling in a professional manner
